Questions people ask
What is a perpetual calendar?
A calendar that works for any year. Because every year follows one of only 14 patterns (7 starting weekdays, leap or not), a perpetual calendar just tells you which pattern a year uses, and you read the dates from that.
Can I reuse an old printed calendar?
Yes, if it is from a year with the same starting weekday and the same leap status. For example, a 2021 calendar lines up day for day with 2027. Only the holidays that move (Easter, Thanksgiving and so on) will be wrong.
Why does the tool start at 1583?
The Gregorian calendar replaced the Julian calendar in October 1582 in Catholic countries (and in 1752 in Britain and its colonies). Earlier dates, or dates recorded in the Julian system, need a conversion first.
How do I print a perpetual calendar?
